His Eminence Drubpön Dechen Rinpoche is a prominent figure in the Tibetan Buddhist Karma Kagyu lineage. In his past life, the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa entrusted him with overseeing the reconstruction of Tsurphu Monastery – the traditional seat of the Karmapas and later became the abbot of Tsurphu.

The current Yang Srid Drubpön Dechen Rinpoche is resident at Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim, India. Recently, Rinpoche presided over the celebrations of THEG-CHOG NORBU LING (TNG)’s 25th anniversary as well as the French Monlam at TNG centre in France.
